Valuations

Valuation report: We work with clear and understandable reports in the language you desire. Each valuation report is a unique and exclusive document, consisting of at least 6 pages. In addition to the valued amounts, we also give, for example:

- A thorough description of the ship, illustrated by photos
- A description of the ship’s market position
- A list of recommendations and advice
- The VAT status of the ship
- The ownership status

Price agreed in advance. We always agree a fixed price with you in advance. All agreed prices are inclusive of 19% VAT, travel time, travel expenses, written reports and a search in the Register of Ships.

Sworn and certified valuers. Our valuation report is accepted by all large banks and financial institutions. The valuation is carried out by Michiel Mol. He is sworn and NBMS/EMCI certified. This means that the valuation is valid for all desired applications.

Technical survey / other partial surveys. A valuation is not an expert’s assessment. Should you need to obtain technical information, Boatwish can arrange a technical inspection for you. Together with you, a technical examination of the ship will then be conducted. Carrying out a technical inspection is, just like a valuation report, is custom work. As a rule, we never carry out a destructive inspection. In consultation with you, technical inspection is outsourced to an external expert who possesses the right knowledge and papers.

Valuation working method. You give us a written instruction by letter, fax or e-mail to carry out a valuation, after which we immediately make an appointment with you. A valuation is not an inspection; a valuation is a determination of the value of the ship, based on the market position at the time of valuation. After we have prepared the report, we will send you the invoice with the price agreed in advance. After this invoice is paid, the valuation report will be sent to you in duplicate. If the payment is made immediately, you will receive the report within 1 week. In the event of foreign valuation instructions, the invoice has to be paid in advance. Request for an offer: contact us by email, fax or telephone and indicate the type of ship, the year of construction and where the ship is located. As a rule, we will contact you the same day to discuss the offer and make the appointment with you.
